How we source, verify, attribute, and correct our reporting.

Sourcing

Every article on Bonuslists is sourced from primary documents or from named individuals with attribution. In practice this means:

• Primary documents. Regulator publications and licensee registers, corporate filings (SEC 10-Q/10-K/8-K, LSE announcements, MFSA filings, ADGM disclosures, etc.), court records, published statutes and consultations, and operator press releases quoted from the operator's own channels.
• Named sources. Where we quote an individual, we name them and their role. We disclose the venue (interview, panel, published statement) and the date.
• Third-party reporting. When we credit another publication for a story we're following, we link out. We don't re-publish other outlets' scoops without attribution.

Every published article carries a Sourcessection at the foot with clickable links to the primary sources cited. If we can't find a primary source for a claim, we don't publish it or we flag the gap explicitly.

Anonymous sources

We use anonymous sources sparingly and only when the story cannot be told any other way. When we do, we tell the reader what the source knows, why they need anonymity, and what corroboration we have. Anonymous single-source stories require two independent verifications from other unnamed sources or one confirming document.

Verification

Before publication:

• Every figure (licence number, financial figure, date, market share) is checked against the primary source URL that will be cited in the article.
• Every named quote is either recorded, transcribed from a published source, or confirmed with the speaker or their office.
• Every company or product name is verified against the operator's own material — not a third-party summary.
• Regulatory-status claims ("X holds a Curaçao licence," "Y is on the KSA blocklist," etc.) are checked against the regulator's own register, not just the operator's claim.

Corrections

We correct errors openly and promptly. When we correct an article, we:

• Keep the article live at its original URL.
• Fix the error in place.
• Add a Correction note at the top of the article stating what was wrong, what it now says, and the date of the correction.
• Never silently edit substantive content.

Attribution & AI-content disclosure

Human editors write, edit, and sign off on every article. AI tools may be used for research assistance (summarising long regulator documents, searching corporate filings) and for grammar/style polishing on drafts. AI is not used to generate original reporting, source claims, or quotes. Where an article materially incorporates AI-generated summary or synthesis, that fact is disclosed in the article itself.

Commercial independence

We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. We do not run "sponsored content" disguised as editorial — any advertorial that ever appears will be visually and semantically distinct from editorial articles.

Bonuslists is owned by MVisions, which also operates consumer-facing comparison sites in the online gambling space. Editorial decisions on Bonuslists are made independently of those sites; the sister sites do not commission or approve Bonuslists coverage. Where an article references an entity with which MVisions has a commercial relationship (an operator whose products are listed on our sister comparison sites, for example), the relationship is disclosed in-line and enumerated on the Commercial Disclosure page.

Complaints & right of reply

If you are the subject of a Bonuslists article and believe it is materially inaccurate, contact the editorial desk with the specific claim you dispute and the evidence supporting your position. We respond within five working days and — where the complaint is upheld — issue a correction as described above.

Reader-facing bots and archives

Search engine crawlers and AI research crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, CCBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, and others) are permitted to crawl and cite Bonuslists content. The full list of permitted bots is in our robots.txt. Where a bot cites us, we ask only that the citation be accurate and the source URL retained.
